Saturday Supper Bridge 4th May

Once again this event was a huge success. Bridge started at 5.30 pm. There were 8 tables and lots of lively conversation throughout the evening where it was good to catch up with members that might not have been seen for while.

Half way through playing bridge, Moussaka was served with a Greek salad and pitta bread followed by coffee and carrot cake all for the large sum of £10! The event finished by about 9.45 pm

The winning pair for the bridge was Susan Clarke and Maggie Webb.

Thank you to all the members who made this lovely light hearted occasion possible where we are also able to make better use of our premises at weekends as well has the normal sessions during the week. It is the generosity of members time too that enables us to keep costs down and thereby keep raising money for our yearly charity through these type of events. This evening raised about £100 for Lymington Hospital Friends.

Pat will be arranging another Saturday Supper later in the year. Look out for the next special event which will be the Charity Afternoon Tea on Friday June 21st.

Our Premises

The Lymington Club Ltd (often referred to as The Yellow Door) has its own premises in a listed building on St Thomas' Street, at the top of this busy market town next to Marks and Spencer.  We have a lovely bright card room and newly refurbished entrance and kitchen area. We are a  friendly club whose members meet up to five times a week for Duplicate Bridge. We have several social and charity bridge occasions during the year as well where our Social Committee always provide delicious homemade fare.

The Club has some parking available next door, and there is a large Council owned car park within 100 metres down the adjacent side road.  We run several competitions throughout the year and are affiliated to the EBU and to HIWCBA.
